Mark from Environment Southland came in to teach us about catchments, a place where water ends up because of gravity and flow. By using a model called an environscape we were able to see where water travels, and other stuff that runs through drains and stormwater pipes.
It was definitely an eye-opener and made us think twice about pouring 'liquid litter' down nearby drains.
